Compliance / Risk Assessment
Know the Risk. Prioritize the Work.
Our risk assessment services identify the assets, data flows, threats, and control gaps that matter to your organization, then turn the results into a decision-ready treatment plan.
Use the assessment to support HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR work. We tailor the scope to the framework and your actual operating environment.
Purpose and scope
Assess the Environment You Actually Operate
A useful assessment starts with boundaries. We identify where regulated data and important business processes live, the teams and suppliers that can access them, and the controls intended to reduce risk.
Assets and data flows
Document systems, applications, cloud services, third parties, and sensitive-data movement inside the agreed scope.
Threats and controls
Review relevant threats, existing safeguards, control design, ownership, and the evidence that those safeguards operate.
Risk and treatment
Rate likelihood and impact using an agreed method, identify residual risk, and assign treatment actions and decision owners.
We agree on the entities, locations, assets, review period, framework references, interviews, evidence sources, and any technical testing before work begins.
Methodology
How We Turn Evidence Into a Risk Decision
Define scope and criteria
Confirm business objectives, applicable requirements, stakeholders, risk scales, and in-scope systems.
Collect evidence
Review documentation, interview control owners, and examine configuration or operating evidence in the agreed scope.
Analyze risk
Identify scenarios and gaps, account for existing controls, then rate likelihood, impact, and residual risk.
Agree on treatment
Review findings with owners, set practical actions and target dates, and document accepted risks and dependencies.
Deliverables
A Report That Supports Decisions and Follow-Through
Outputs are mapped to your selected framework and the actual assessment scope. We make the action owner and evidence basis clear for every material risk.
Executive summary
Material risks, business impact, control themes, and decisions requiring leadership attention.
Risk register
Scenario, affected scope, evidence, likelihood, impact, current controls, residual risk, and owner.
Treatment roadmap
Prioritized recommendations, dependencies, target dates, and a proposed method to validate closure.
A risk assessment may use existing penetration test results or include a separately defined technical workstream. It should not be treated as a substitute for an application, API, cloud, or network penetration test.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should we reassess risk?
Set a schedule based on your framework, business context, and contractual requirements, and reassess when significant changes affect systems, data flows, suppliers, or threats. A single universal interval does not fit every obligation.
Does a GDPR assessment always require a DPIA?
No. A DPIA is required when a type of processing is likely to result in high risk to individuals. We scope that determination and any DPIA work separately.
Does the risk assessment include penetration testing?
Only if technical testing is expressly included in the statement of work. We can use a recent pentest as evidence or scope new testing for systems that need it.
What do you need to prepare a proposal?
Tell us the framework, entities and systems in scope, regulated data involved, decision deadline, and any existing audit, assessment or testing reports. We can arrange an NDA before exchanging sensitive material.
