5) Tool-specific terms: Free Website Vulnerability Scanner
The Free Website Vulnerability Scanner (“Scanner”) is provided to help users identify common external-facing issues.
5.1 Authorization requirement
You may only scan websites/systems you own or for which you have explicit authorization to assess. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have proper permission.
5.2 Nature of scanning (non-intrusive checks)
Our Scanner is designed to perform passive and semi-passive checks using public HTTP requests and does not perform exploitation or disruptive actions.
5.3 What the Scanner checks (examples)
The Scanner focuses on items such as missing/misconfigured HTTP security headers, exposed sensitive files/directories, weak cookie flags, basic open redirects, CORS issues, and information leakage.
5.4 Data handling for the Scanner
We respect your privacy. The Scanner stores scan results and optional email addresses (if provided) for report access and security notifications. We do not share or sell your information.
5.5 No guarantee / limitations
Scanner results may contain false positives or false negatives and are provided for informational purposes only. The Scanner does not replace a manual penetration test, authenticated testing, business-logic testing, or a full security program.
5.6 Abuse prevention
We may apply technical controls (rate limits, blocks, logging, and other protections) to prevent misuse and protect the Services.
6) No professional advice
Content on the Services (including blog posts, checklists, scanner output, or guidance) is provided for general informational purposes and does not constitute legal, compliance, or professional security advice for your specific environment.
7) Intellectual property

- You represent that you have the right to submit it and that it does not violate others’ rights or laws.
- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it as needed to operate, improve, market, and support the Services (for example, responding to your inquiry, improving documentation, or publishing a testimonial with your consent where applicable).
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you agree we may use them without restriction or compensation to you.
9) Third-party links and services
